Buy a queer history print and support Compassionate Use

This bouquet was made by Mister Lee Designs for The Grass Agency to celebrate the legacy of Dennis Peron, the “gay hippy outlaw who legalized marijuana in response to the aids crisis”. In 1993,  Peron founded the Cannabis Buyer’s Club, the first cannabis dispensary in the US. Years later, he authored Prop 215 (aka The Compassionate Use Act) the landmark initiative that made California the first state to legalize medical marijuana.  He did all of this in the wake of the AIDS epidemic, providing relief to those who needed it most.

Following the passage of Prop 64, which legalized adult use marijuana in California in 2016, organizations continuing Peron’s legacy of supplying free cannabis to low-income patients were forced to close due to over regulation in the state. Senate Bill 34 (aka The Dennis Peron and Brownie Mary Act) hopes to remedy that.

$10 from the sale of each print will go to the Dennis Peron Political Action Committee, which is dedicated to supporting SB 34.

A limited run of 11, 12 x 16 in. enhanced matte mid-weight photo prints are available now from Grass Goods for $36 (shipping included).
