Don’t try this at home: Xmas Eve edition

A snapdragon isn’t just an excellent joint holder; it’s also a super sketchy 16th century drinking game. Some 500 years before Netflix was invented, friends and family used to gather around a bowl of brandy filled with raisins on Xmas Eve. Then they’d light the thing on fire. With the bowl fully lit, contestants would take turns snatching the flaming dried grapes from their liquor bath and extinguish them in their mouths. Apparently the game was best played under low light, giving players a devilish appearance.

This Xmas Eve, please just stick with Netflix.
